Updates from Summer
October 25, 2018
Summer in Salt Lake City provides plenty of opportunities for adventure and photography. Time is split between working with a number of wonderful clients and exploring and adventuring in Utah.
For clients, my work has been split between editorial images and business portraits. Photos such as the cover page and inside images for the ACLU of Utah's Liberty Reporter magazine. I also worked with several business clients, including Travis Taylor, a professional violin repairer and knife sharpener. Additional clients include SquarePeg Hires, which helps companies identify great potential candidates through cognitive traits.
Two additional projects with nonprofit groups have evened out the workload. The first assisted Save Our Local Pets — a nonprofit that coordinates pet food and supplies to underfunded shelters and rescues — on a website revision. The second helped Crossroads Urban Center inform the public on poverty and community advocacy issues in Salt Lake City.
All work and no fun makes for a boring summer. I've enjoyed photographing friends and activities during the season, from my friend's niece to my climbing partners. I capped the summer with a week long trip to Southern Utah, Starting at the Mineral Mountains and ending in Bryce Canyon.
Now I'm looking forward to a fall season of work with new clients, whether it's helping environmental groups spread the message of conservation and clean air in the Salt Lake Valley or helping education nonprofits discuss current best practices and programs for teaching. If you'd like to talk about using my services to spread your own message, reach out so we can talk about how I can help your organization.
